Tuesday, January 31st

Diet:
Breakfast: eggs
Lunch: pot roast w/ veggies, roasted broccolli
Dinner: crock pot chicken, snap peas

Exercise:
Bench press: 175 x5+5+8
Dead lift: 245x5

  1. Just tracking the TDY diet - have to admit that fried chicken livers and buffalo wings sound tempting. And working out while on the road is never convenient, or if it's 'convenient' (like workout room in most hotels), it has very limited facilities. It's obviously a lot easier to stay on a disciplined regimen when you're home and someone is watching what goes on the plate. So how much weight did you gain? Jenny is keeping up pretty well with the paleo cuisine, and I seem to be losing about a pound a week. Would be much better if I could figure out a workout schedule myself.

    1. I put back on four pounds, exactly what I had lost the week before. Interestingly, I lost almost all of right back within a few days. Wonder if at least part of it was water retention from 3 meals a day of restaurant food which tends to be higher sodium. I don't have a great excuse for dropping the workouts when one of my workout goals is to walk 8 miles a week, and just about every hotel has a treadmill.

      Hopefully lessons learned. My Japan trip will be a challenge though. My options will be very limited since they tend to order food to share. I'm only in country for 3 days though so I'm not going to stress about it and I'll look more for new culinary opportunities rather than perfect diet choices. Our hotel is right next to the Tokyo fish market so I'm determined to find some world class sushi this time.
